Availability. Connected email is rolling out in stages and may not be available in your app yet. Pasting an alert works everywhere.
How this differs from pasting
Pasted alerts are read on your phone. Email is different: our servers fetch matching emails from your mailbox and read them to pull out the payment details. The original email is processed briefly and is not kept. What is stored is the record: amount, currency, direction, date, account, and details such as a fee or reference.
What you are agreeing to
- Mailbox access is its own permission. Signing in to Nuzerna with Google does not give Nuzerna access to your Gmail.
- The access is read-only. Nuzerna cannot send, delete, or change your email.
- The permission Gmail and Outlook grant is broad: technically it allows reading the mailbox. The senders, folders, and date range you choose limit what Nuzerna processes, but they do not narrow the permission itself. We tell you this before you consent.
- Your mailbox is yours alone. Other people in a shared team never see your emails or gain access to your mailbox.
Connect a mailbox
- Sign in to Nuzerna. Connected email needs a signed-in team.
- Open More, then Import alerts, and choose Gmail or Outlook.
- Read the explanation, then approve access on Google’s or Microsoft’s own consent screen.
- Choose the financial senders to include, the date range (the past 90 days unless you change it), and the account the records go to. For Outlook, also choose the folders that receive your alerts.
- Check the preview and start. The first scan runs on our servers and results appear in the app.
After it is connected
Nuzerna keeps checking in the background using notifications from Gmail or Outlook plus a regular catch-up. New alerts usually appear without you doing anything, but we do not promise instant delivery.
The connection screen shows:
- Last checked — when the mailbox was last fully checked.
- Check now — ask for a check straight away.
- Pause — stop checking but keep the connection, so you can resume later.
- Disconnect — stop checking and remove Nuzerna’s access.
Coverage is shown as Up to date or Partially checked. If there is a gap, you will see Repair missing history.
Pausing, disconnecting, and signing out
- Disconnecting stops scanning and clears the stored access. Records already saved are kept.
- Signing out of the app on your phone does not disconnect the mailbox. Use Disconnect if you want checking to stop.
- You can also withdraw access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account’s security settings.
- On a new phone, sign in and your connection is still there. You do not need to consent again unless it expired.
Limits
- “Gmail supported” means Nuzerna can connect to Gmail. Each bank’s email format is supported separately; see supported alerts.
- Work or school Microsoft accounts only work where the organization allows it.
- Other mail providers, forwarding, attachments, and PDF statements are not supported.
- Mail deleted before Nuzerna reads it cannot be recovered.
- An emailed alert is not bank-verified confirmation that money moved.
Troubleshooting
It asks me to reconnect
Access expired or was withdrawn. Reconnect the same mailbox and Nuzerna picks up where it left off.
My organization blocked it
Your organization controls which apps can read work mail. Nuzerna cannot override that.
No matching emails
Check the senders, folders, and date range. If the alerts are there but not understood, the format is not supported yet.
